About these recordings
When putting live material out for public consumption, there are no retakes. That’s the problem with, and the beauty of live performance; it has a raw, immediate quality, complete with flaws. In these recordings, you will hear the occasional flaw or fumble, and in the cases of “Fat Naked Woman” and “Cup of Clay,” you’ll hear random percussive accompaniment of children tumbling about on the floor directly overhead. In other places, a mischievous kitten provides an anomalous giggle to the audience. That comes with the territory of small, informal house concerts of the type I most enjoy. Fortunately, the purpose of this page is not to sell recordings, but rather to give an idea what I do and how I do it in a home setting… and, I hope, to inspire you to invite me into your living room.
