the craziest idea

Aug 30This bombing the moon thing just blows my mind. Insane is the only word I can find for the mindset that can even conceive of such a thing.

Why do I think it’s so crazy? The Moon is only a big ball of rock way out there in space, the science priests all say. Plainly it exists merely for us to make use of, just like we used to think the Earth did, except oops, we messed with something there we didn’t understand but now we do, and now we have to suffer through consequences of global warming but oh well, ho hum, the moon doesn’t matter anyway because only the biosphere is alive, biology is what makes life life. Nothing else matters, especially plain old matter.

I can tell you precisely why this way of seeing is so deeply insane, with the help of an astrologer named Terry MacKinnell.

Aug 31Terry MacKinnel is an astrological researcher from Australia who has shown that the Aqe of Aquarius actually began some five hundred years or so ago. This is supported by evidence at hand which is considerable; I won’t try to replicate his arguments, merely extrapolate from them. Suffice it to say he is very convincing.

The Astrological Ages reflect the predominant belief-system or paradigm of humanity during their passage. Aquarius is the fixed mode of the air element, the style of maximum expression of the mind.

We are all waiting breathlessly for the Age of Aquarius to come along and save us, when the truth is, the Age of Reason, the Age of so-called Enlightenment happened way back five hundred years ago, and it’s our collective denial of that same Aqe of Aquarius that has us so warped in our behavior patterns now.

Sept 1I’m not pro-religion. I can’t swear fealty to any belief system; astrology compels me to serve the whole truth. Any belief system, whether a major religion, a new-age Church of Light, a Buddhist Temple, a Wiccan Circle, a Medicine Wheel, by dint of excluding the rest can express only part of the whole truth. It can’t be about which path is right. It’s about finding a way they can all find balance with one another. This is basic astrology.

Years of study of the concepts that my understanding of astrology has rendered obvious bring me to understand a few basic things that scientists (Aquarian priests) with their strict filter upon the world (composed of ‘scientific method’ which basically insists that only objective information be considered in pursuit of understanding.

This point of view is sourced in the air. It sees itself as separate from, different from and infinitely superior to the ground which unfolds below.

Sept 2The air element is the element of intellect, of rational (and irrational) thought, mind, the beliefs we hold which craft our worldviews and sculpt our physical experience.

Science in this Aquarian Age is using the intellect to prove that only intellect has value or relevance to one’s path of action. This is, by the laws of the universe (described by astrology), insane.

There are four, and only four (five if you include the elusive thing called ‘spirit’ or ‘Unity’) elements which interact equally to form the multidimensional tapestry of interwoven tales that comprise reality. The emotional, the spiritual and the physical elements also need each to be accorded the rulership of their own domains. The intellect is merely one quadrant of four, and it has many gifts to offer which are equally excised by the scientific way of seeing. Air has suffered damage, too, perhaps more than any other. The collective mind is crazy and we need to start to pull outselves up by our collective bootstraps. We need to start to pay attention to what’s really going on, and who is doing it to us.

Answer (of course): we are.

Sept 3The Age of Reason has been rising in strength, with Reason playing the part of tyrannical dictator, slave master, oppressor. Reason has insisted upon detaching itself from emotion, from physical sensation, from any hope for spiritual understanding.

This out of control, collectively denied Age of Aquarius is consuming mass habitat and innumerable species and invading the innocent life of the Earth with its detached, disconnected crazed ways. And now it wants to bomb the moon. Why?

The answer comes with a sharp shrug, a let’s-get-on-with-it glitter in priest’s mad rolling eye, “It’s only a ball of rock, a resource like any other, progress cannot be stopped!’

Haven’t we heard this someplace before? Look at the consequences we have created for ourselves.

Now the Age of Aquarius is talking of reshaping the universe into vehicles and vessels for consciousness’ use, a universe that, rather than having been created, is crafted by its parts into cells and clusters of massive computer circuitry, which may contain organic elements but cannot resemble anything we could call ‘life’.

Sept 4Again, it’s not that Aquarius is the enemy. Aquarius is us! Pogo was right.

So if the enemy is us, what can we do about its rampages? We can all (except, perhaps, the die-hard priests of the Aquarian Age) see that humanity is out of control. It’s up to us to fix what we have broken. We who are called must act, must speak, must add our own voices to the debate.

There is a battle of ideologies going on right now between fundamentalist creationists and scientists, and each is in reaction to the other. Neither sees any possibility that everything might be true–which it is.

Sept 6Astrology is not a religion. Astrology is a kind of geometry which describes interrelationships among and between points of view. Astrology obeys the laws of symmetry and balance which are also applied to the hard sciences, but it also includes emotions, pain and joy, tragic and triumphant tales, soul evolution, career path, consequences of choices, opportunities.

Astrology not a science, nor is it an art nor any kind of belief system. Every belief system, science and art is actually a subset of astrology.

Using astrology as sacred geomatry (spelling deliberate), it is possible to construct and use (for increased understanding and the development of certain essential life skills) metaphysical schematic diagrams for the self (the natal chart), the relationship between the self and other selves (synastry), the collective subselves and greater selves (group synastry) and the collective behavior and belief systems of humanity (the transits and aspects between the outer planets as well as the Precession of the Equinoxes).

Sept 7Science has rebelled against and discredited astrology precisely because astrology undermines the supremacy of the scientific paradigm. Astrology says to science, sorry no, it is not that there is an intelligent designer, nor is there need for consciousness to become a designer, for the design itself is intelligent and has developed according to the specifications of, and to meet the needs of, all forms of intelligence, mental, emotional, physical, spiritual.

If we bomb the Moon, we will only be hurting ourselves. But the hurt will be devastating and the consequences long-term. Don’t bomb the Moon. Please.

And yet, despite how it may appear, all is not lost. We are well into the Aquarian Age, and discerning the true nature of the Aquarian archetype can help us to collectively accept responsibility for it and act accordingly.

Simply put, Aquarius is love: the maximum expression of the human relational capacity. Why it forgot itself is a function of the suspicion that the different parts of self have viewed one another with. Astrology can provide a pathway through that suspicion and out into the light of collective good will and peace on earth.

EarthHeaven can be here and now, if we accept it. If we embrace each other whole heartedly as we embrace ourselves (which is a process to get to for sure, but well within possibility), we will save the planet and ourselves. And the Moon too.

Very good article. Its so obvious now that we have been in Aquarius since he navigators crossed the oceans, taking Piscean religions of faith with them. Space race – Aquarian Air ppl do the maths.

How ironic and clever of Aquarius, to mask its Age beginning, under the warp of Greek maths science! Adding to its confusing “water carrier” tag (when its an air sign), it obscures its rightful beginning.

I seem to remember the fellas of the 1400s having shoulder length hair on their voyages. A cryptic clue?

Yes! Once you really look at it, it’s just too obvious. The end of the ‘dark ages’ (ie, unrecorded, hidden, secret = Pisces) and the beginning of the Renaissance, the Age of Enlightenment, Leonardo Da Vinci, the explosion of new ideas and awareness, the Age of Science, Age of Reason, Age of Information, all the keywords equal Aquarius. It’s just a big giant ‘duh’.

And timely too, since I’m about to start teaching a new class. This theme will fit perfectly.

    Thanks for the comment.
