changes update: new template
Okay–here it is, the look is pretty much going to be this, though I’m trying to find a way to tweak the background colour so I can have dark green at the right and left sides as I did in the old template. And the sidebar needs work, too, but I’m done for the moment.
As soon as I can create a home page with links to different sections, clicking on ‘phoenixwolfray.com’ will no longer take you to the blog but to a single page. Just click on ‘blog’ in the header.
This is not all that interesting perhaps, to anybody but me, but I’m loving it–cleaning up my online house, renovating, redecorating–it feels great!
Don’t go away, I’ll start writing again soon, I promise.

Phee, the wrapping on the right hand 1/3 of the page is all f**ked up now. At least on my screen it is. It wasn’t that way earlier today.

Thanks… I fixed it.
It’s enlightening to find out how important a single character out of place can be in CSS… And how freaking hard it is to find.

More QA input:
1) The newest template does not have a ‘comments’ link. I had to click on your name where you’d made the above latest comment on the right hand side in order to bring this field up.
2) On the right hand side, under ‘Recent Blog Posts’ I suggest incorporating some sort of bullet to indicate any given discrete selection/link…right now, when a longer link name wraps, it looks like what has wrapped has become a new line item. If its “parent” line had a bullet in front of it, this wouldn’t be an issue, and it would be more readable, IMO

The new page (which isn’t visible at the moment but was when you wrote this) is not a blog posting, but an actual web page. Only the blog posts will have a ‘comments’ field… so, if you want to give feedback on a web page, you’ll have to do it the old-fashioned way (email, heh). If anybody wants to email me, clicking the ‘contact me’ link in the menu bar will do it.
And yes, the sidebar still needs a lot of work. I’ll get to it–thanks for the feedback!

Now that you’ve separated out the blog from the main portal webpage, are you able to re-title the blog page? I was hoping for a “Truth is a Crazy Poet” blog page masthead

I don’t know how to do that, I’m afraid. The template I use applies to every page and there’s no way to use two different header images that I know of… I’m trying to learn how to make my home page look more interesting, but the template limits my options. Besides, even if I could, I’m not sure I would go back to using that name… time for a new leaf.
